The ST Employee union comes to fore the Wardha division ST administration

The compulsion for bus drivers to use 10 liter diesel for 60 km has created controversy among the drivers, their union and the Wardha division of ST administration.
The ST employee union has come to fore the Wardha division ST administration saying, there are various defects in busses, which make impossible for drivers to give such averages’. The union has demanded to cancel the new imposed compulsion for drivers by the Wardha division of State Transport; otherwise, they have threatened to go on indefinite hunger strike in front of Wardha bus stand from Aug. 20.
This an instruction given by Rastriy S.T. kamgar congress Sanghatana’s Wardha depot president Ratnakar Nandanwar.
Talking to the TOI,Ratnakar  Nandanwar , the Wardha district  president of Rastriy S.T. Kamgar congress Sanghatana, further added  that  The overload on the ST buses , more than the capacity ,stops the busses to get their decided average of 65 KM an hour , actually the average never crosses  than 50 KM in an hour, which affects the fuel average of the busses.
Moreover, there are several other reasons including leakages, bad conditions of roads, which hamper the fuel average of the busses, says the union president. He has given a memorandum to the depot manager, Rajabhau Deshpande, threatening strike, if the compulsion order is not withdrawn with immediate effect.

2.  The Lady Gandhian denies to be honoured by the Indian Prez

Kanchan Ben Shah has denied to be honoured by the president of India Pratibha Patil, who was to honour her on 9th of Aug, in a function, to be organized in the Rsahtrapati Bhawan on the Kranti Diwas. She was among other five freedom fighters from the state, whom the central government has decided to honour for their contribution in freedom fighting with several others from whole India.
However the close companion of Mahtma Gandhi, Kanchan Shah (93) has denied attending the function criticizing the mode of functioning of the government agencies, which have according to her informed too late. She said that she was informed telephonically by the Maharshtra government on July 30 but the district administration denied any such information with it and could provide a fax detail on Aug.5.
It is also ironical that NO TA and DA were offered to the freedom fighters, who are to be awarded. “This is not an honour but insult to the freedom fighters,’ said the 93 year old Shah, who was informed by the administration to arrange her journey by self.

   3. Though the CID has not come at any conclusion in its inquiry, being made in the theft case of Gandhi’s Specs, which were found missing from Sewagram Ashram, in the last June, a dweller of the Ashram has been banned to enter the Ashram premise, which is being understood in the same theft connection. The Ashram Administration has prohibited ‘Vishwas Sahstri to take part in any activity of Ashram and banned him forever. Vishwas had allegedly quarreled with a resident of Ashram, Jalandhar during collective Lunch in June, 2011, which ended with an FIR against Jalndhar. Vishwas was reportedly part of a group of the Ashram residents, which was targeting another group. ‘The Ahram, divided in groups has earned bad names after the theft of Gandhi’s glasses of the national importance.

Vishwas has contacted the media and said that the Ashram administration is torturing me and has not provided meals for some days and lastly has banned me. However he could not be contacted as he had been to Bhadrawati since last two days. The administration of Ashram however charges him that he is involved in defaming the Ashram.
